TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay passed By‑law No.117-2020 on the 16th day of June 2020, under Section 34 of the Planning Act.

The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the subject property from “Low Density Residential (LDR) Zone” to “Low Density Residential Exception Three (LDR-X3) Zone” in order to permit a Home Occupation in the form of a hair salon and spa  within the existing permitted residential dwelling.    READ MORE

Prior to the passing of By-law No.117-2020 Council received 1 written submission and 1 oral submissions.  The consideration of the comments did not change the content of the by-law which was passed as originally proposed.

Take Notice that an individual, corporation or public body may appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, by filing a notice of appeal with the Clerk of the Township of Terrace Bay not later than the 14h day of July 2020. The notice of appeal must set out the reasons for the appeal, and must be accompanied by the fee required by the Tribunal.

Take Notice that only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group.  However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.

And Take Notice that no person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
