RECREATION FACILITIES
The Township of Terrace Bay offers a wide variety of activities and facilities to satisfy the recreational needs of its residents.
Recreation Centre
Fitness Room
Our fitness room includes: universal weight machine, free weights, stairmaster,
2 treadmills, exercise bike and elliptical machine. The weight room is open to residents
ages 15 years and older, and 13 & 14 years old may access the fitness room accompanied
by a parent or an individual 18 yrs and older.
Saunas & Change rooms
We have a ladies & mens change room with showers, lockers, washroom and sauna.

Squash & Racquetball Court
1 squash and 1 racquetball court is available for booking in 45 minute intervals. Racquet rentals and volleyball net are available.
Activity/Games Lounge
Our lounge is equipped with a pool table, table tennis, and video games.

The Terrace Bay Memorial Arena with a seating capacity of 1,000 is the
focal point in the winter with Figure Skating, Minor Hockey, NBC Hockey,
Oldtimers Hockey and Girls Hockey leagues in operation.
Public Skating times
are held daily.

Curling Club
Our curling club features 4 sheets of ice with a licensed lounge. League curling is offered. Visit the club website at www.tbcurlingclub.com
Bowling Alley
A 4-lane bowling alley featuring 5-pin bowling is situated in our recreation facility. League bowling for ladies and seniors is offered during the fall and winter. Bowling parties are available for booking. Open bowling is available when the alley is not booked.
Swim Pool
A 25 metre heated outdoor pool with diving board and slide is open at end of June until the end of August. Swim lessons, swim club, aquabics, Special Olympics swim are offered. Public Swimming is held daily. The pool is available for party rentals. Swimming Pool Information |

Meeting Rooms
3 meeting rooms are situated in our facility. Free use of the meeting rooms are available to non-profit organizations.
Soccer/Ball Diamonds
The High School field is available for soccer and baseball
Tennis Courts
2 outdoor courts, recently renovated.
Playgrounds/Skateboard Park
3 recently renovated playgrounds: Poplar , Southridge & Superior
New skateboard park is located next to the swimming pool
Library
The library is located in the Recreation Centre. Internet and computer access is available. Visit the libary website
Outdoor Recreation
Aguasabon Golf Club
The golf course is operated by volunteers, and offers 9 holes of golf, clubhouse and restaurant. Visit the golf club website at www.agcgolf.bravehost.com
Trestle Ridge Ski Hill
The Ski Hill is located in town, and is run by a group of volunteers. The ski hill opens for the season in December (tentative due to snow conditions). The hill is open on the weekends.
