Handi Transit
The Townships of Schreiber and Terrace Bay has Handi-Transit service available to anyone 55 or older or disabled persons, either permanently or temporarily. This service may be used for appointments, shopping trips, visiting friends, going to the seniors' clubs, community events, etc.  The intention of the service is to help people to get out and get active.  The Handi-Transit will come right to your door, take you where you want to go, leave you for a certain time if you wish, and return you to your home. Please note that you need to book the service 24 hours in advance. To do this, please call the McCausland Hospital at 825-3273. The fare for use of the Handi-Transit for in town travel is $2.00 each way and out of town travel (Terrace Bay to Schreiber travel and/or Schreiber to Terrace Bay travel) is $4.00 each way.
