Administrative Assistant – Full-Time Position (non-union)

The Township of Terrace Bay is seeking a highly motived individual to fill a vacancy on its administrative team.  The position will provide confidential administrative support to the CAO/Clerk, Treasurer/Deputy Clerk, Fire Chief, Chief Building Official, By-law Enforcement Officer, Mayor and Councillors, and occasionally to other senior staff; and to act as Recording Secretary for Council and other committee meetings.

Three to five years previous work experience in a senior secretarial position which included handling confidential information and dealing with the public is acceptable. The ideal candidate will have similar administrative and secretarial experience, preferably in a municipal or government setting. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong computer literacy. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, and ideally one to two years of post-secondary training, in a related discipline.

The salary offered will range from $55,763 to $67,184 commensurate with experience.  The Township of Terrace Bay also offers a competitive benefits package.  A detailed job description can be obtained by inquiring with the municipal clerk, below.
