2010 Lake Superior Day in Terrace Bay
Over 200 residents and tourists helped celebrate Lake Superior Day at Terrace Bay on Sunday, July 18 from 11am to 3pm. Activities included: free charters and free kayaking, a guided hike, and kids games. Special thanks to Bluebird Charters and McCuaig Marine Services for providing amazing charters to Lyda Bay and to Naturally Superior for their fun kayaking experience. As well, thanks go out to the Casque Isles Hiking Club for offering a guided hike, Allison Dennis for arranging volleyball, Kids Zone staff for providing kids games, and Superior Dining for their incredible food!
The Township of Terrace Bay could not have organized the event as well without the amazing support of its partners Parks Canada, EcoSuperior, Environment Canada, and the Lake Superior Binational Program. On behalf of the residents of Terrace Bay and tourists (who came as far away as Kingston, Ottawa, and Chicago), a special thanks to our project partners!

2009 Lake Superior Day
The 2009 Lake Superior Day was held on Sunday July 19 at the Terrace Bay Beach from 11am to 3pm. The day began with a volunteer beach cleanup and progressed into a bbq and then $5 boat charters and kayaking. Over 100 people were in attendance and the event will continue to grow in 2010 being held on Sunday, July 18 (more information to come).
