Temporary Use Zoning By-law Amendment
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay will be holding a public meeting under Sections 34 and 39 of the Planning Act to consider an amendment to By-law 10-2016, the comprehensive zoning by-law of the Township of Terrace Bay. PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the amendment is to permit a temporary construction work camp required for the construction of the East-West Tie Electrical Transmission Line. The proposed by-law is a temporary use by-law which will be valid for three years. The effect is to permit lodging and living quarters for the temporary accommodation of workers, a maintenance and storage yard for vehicles and equipment, a self-contained fuel storage facility and an administrative office (see Key Map for location). The lands affected are legally described as PT LOC JK 300, RP 55R10815, PT PART 1RP 55R11734, PARTS 1 3 TO 7 9 TO 11, PCLS 26229 27092TBF.
TAKE NOTICE that if you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Terrace Bay on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Municipality at the address below.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Terrace Bay to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Terrace Bay before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of Terrace Bay before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Tribunal, unless in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
