The Terrace Bay Swim Pool is OPEN today – Sunday, July 19, 2026!
We will continue to closely monitor air quality throughout the day to help ensure the health and safety of our swimmers and staff. If conditions worsen, the pool may need to close on short notice.
Please continue to check our Facebook page for the latest updates.
See you at the pool!
The Township continues to closely monitor wildfire activity and air quality conditions in our community and across the region.
At this time, Township operations are continuing as normal, although some service adjustments have been made to help protect the health and safety of our staff and residents. These may include temporarily reduced pool hours and limitations on some outdoor work and activities when air quality conditions warrant.
The Township remains ready to implement its Emergency Management Plan if conditions require. We are maintaining communication with local stakeholders and staying informed of actions being taken by senior levels of government, which remain prepared to provide support as needed.
We encourage all residents and visitors to:
– Respect the Restricted Fire Zone and all fire restrictions.
– Monitor local air quality conditions and limit outdoor activity when necessary.
– Stay informed by following the Township’s official communication channels for updates.
The safety and well-being of our community remains our highest priority. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we continue to monitor conditions.

Due to air quality concerns, the Terrace Bay Swim Pool will be CLOSED today, Saturday, July 18, to protect the health and safety of our staff and patrons.
We evaluate air quality daily and throughout the day, and any decisions regarding pool operations are made with everyone’s safety as our top priority.
Please check back tomorrow for an update, and continue to follow our Facebook page for the latest information.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Stay safe!

Resident Notice! The Swim Pool will be CLOSED today – Wednesday, July 15 due to air quality concerns for our staff and patrons.

Due to the high to extreme fire hazard, increased wildland fire activity, the current fire load and to reduce the number of human-caused wildland fires, the Ministry of Natural Resources will be implementing a Restricted Fire Zone (RFZ) for the Northwest Region and a portion of the Northeast region, effective Wednesday, July 15 at 12:01 a.m. local time.
No open air burning, including campfires, is permitted within the boundaries of a Restricted Fire Zone.
Access the map of the RFZ boundaries and learn more about restrictions at Ontario.ca/fireupdates
