FireSmart is a program dedicated to wildfire prevention, preparedness, and mitigation within our local communities. Its recommendations are based on scientific evidence, outlining the most effective and cost-efficient changes to the built environment to improve a home’s chances of surviving a wildfire.
Township of Terrace Bay's FireSmart Program
The Township’s FireSmart program is led by Administration and supported by the Terrace Bay Fire Department. A large part of the local program revolves around public education. As FireSmart initiatives roll out and events are planned, we will share information on this page.
