Contract 2024 – 6004
The Ministry of Transportation will be carrying out the rehabilitation of McKellar and Ripple Creek Culvert, 36 and 38 km West of Marathon.
The construction will start in May of 2026 and is expected to finish by November 2026. The General Contractor is Bot Construction Group and Contract Administration is being performed by Bridge Way Engineering INC.
The traveling public is advised to be vigilant and slowdown in construction zones, traffic lanes may be reduced, and traffic control will be in place.

Tourism Gateway Signage Fabrication and Replacement
The Township of Terrace Bay is seeking quotations from qualified sign fabrication firms to repair, replicate, and/or replace components of key tourism gateway signage due to weather events.
The Township’s objectives for this project are to:
The project involves prominent tourism signage where components are missing or damaged.
Due to the age of the original installations:
- Original design files may be incomplete or unavailable
- Provided files may not be to scale
- Materials may need to be identified or reasonably matched

The Township of Terrace Bay has initiated the development of a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) to support economic development, local businesses, and downtown revitalization.
The CIP will provide a framework to guide future programs and potential incentive structures aimed at strengthening the local business environment and enhancing community vibrancy.
The Township has retained 807 Management Services to support this work, including direct engagement with local businesses to better understand opportunities, challenges, and priorities within the community.
As part of this process, local business owners are invited to participate in a short consultation.

This project is funded in part by the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs.

Arena Closure & Event Update
Please be advised that due to the ongoing curling club humidifier replacement project, the arena ice season will be extended by one week.
As a result:
- The previously scheduled arena closure (March 30, 2026) has been postponed
- The Paint the Ice Night event will be rescheduled
Updated information, including a new event date and any additional public skating opportunities, will be shared as it becomes available.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back for these upcoming opportunities.

- Winter sand- please provide delivery and pick-up pricing and location- per tonne price
- Daily stacker rental rates including delivery, mobilization and de-mobilization costs (to be included with winter sand)
