The Township of Terrace Bay has initiated the development of a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) to support economic development, local businesses, and downtown revitalization.

The CIP will provide a framework to guide future programs and potential incentive structures aimed at strengthening the local business environment and enhancing community vibrancy.

The Township has retained 807 Management Services to support this work, including direct engagement with local businesses to better understand opportunities, challenges, and priorities within the community.

As part of this process, local business owners are invited to participate in a short consultation.

If you are interested in providing input, please complete the following form:

A member of the project team will follow up with participants.

This project is funded in part by the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs.

Dark Sky Week & Globe at Night

Terrace Bay is fortunate to have naturally dark skies, offering a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the night sky.

This April, we invite residents to take part in two global initiatives that celebrate and protect our night environment:

  • Globe at Night (April 9–18)
  • Dark Sky Week (April 13–20)

What is Globe at Night?

Globe at Night is a worldwide citizen science campaign that invites people to measure light pollution by observing the night sky and submitting their findings.

It takes just 10 minutes to participate, and your observations contribute to real scientific research.
