About
In 2021, Terrace Bay Beach saw the addition of a new beach pavilion, enhancing the experience for visitors to this scenic area. The pavilion is complemented by a 300-metre-long – 3 season boardwalk, which invites visitors to explore the natural beauty of the region. This boardwalk leads to a picturesque nature trail that culminates at a set of iconic Parks Canada Red Chairs, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings. (please note the boardwalk is not cleared of snow during the winter season)
The pavilion is strategically situated at the mouth of the Aguasabon River, offering stunning views and easy access to various amenities. Inside, the pavilion boasts a meeting room, a multi-use area, and a visitors’ centre. The visitors’ centre is operated by the Parks Canada Lake Superior NMCA (National Marine Conservation Area) team, offering valuable information and resources about the local environment and conservation efforts, as well as merchandise and fun interactive programs.
