PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF APPLICATION:
Two minor variances for the property located in a Low-Density Residential Zone (LDR) are requested. A minor variance to 5.3.6a) of Bylaw 10-2016 to reduce the required setback between a detached garage and main dwelling from 3.0m to 1.5m, to permit the demolition of the exiting breezeway between the dwelling and the garage, resulting in a detached garage. An additional minor variance to Section 5.3.2b) of By-law 10-2016 is required to permit a reduced side-yard setback of the existing attached garage (to become detached) from 1.5m to 0.6m.

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Terrace Bay will hold a Public Hearing at the Township of Terrace Bay Council Chambers, 1 Selkirk Ave, Terrace Bay, on August, 10th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. to hear the above application as required by Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13.
YOU ARE ENTITLED TO ATTEND this hearing in person to express your views about the application or you may give written authorization to a solicitor or other person to attend on your behalf. If you are unable to attend, you may submit written comments on the application to the Municipal Clerk prior to the date and time of the hearing. Please use the address shown below.
IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND this hearing, it may proceed in your absence and, except as otherwise provided in the Planning Act, you will not be entitled to any further notice in the proceedings.
A COPY OF THE DECISION of the Committee will be sent to the applicant AND to each person who filed with the Clerk a written request to receive the decision.
