The Township of Terrace Bay is pleased to announce a partnership with Service Line Warranties of Canada (SLWC) to offer eligible homeowners access to optional repair plans for privately maintained water and sewer service lines.
Many residents may not realize that while the Township maintains municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, homeowners are generally responsible for the service lines located on their property. If these privately maintained lines experience a leak, break, blockage, or other failure, repairs can be unexpected and costly.
To help raise awareness of these responsibilities and provide an optional protection option, the Township has partnered with SLWC, an independent company that administers service line repair plans across Canada.
Participation in the program is entirely voluntary. Residents are under no obligation to enroll and are encouraged to review their existing homeowner’s insurance coverage before deciding whether additional protection is appropriate for their needs.
The program is administered solely by Service Line Warranty Canada (SLWC) and does not use Township funds. Residents will not be solicited in person or by phone.
