2019 Community Banking Survey

The Alternative Banking Committee needs your input to gauge the community's banking needs, now that the Terrace Bay CIBC branch is planning to close this year.The Committee plans to utilize the feedback to attract new financial institutions to the community, so please fill out a survey and have your voice heard.   Click here for ONLINE SURVEY.

Along with the online survey, hard copies will be mailed out to residents, as well as made available for pick-up/drop-off at: Costa's Food Market, Stewart Guardian Pharmacy, the Terrace Bay Senior Centre, and the Terrace Bay Municipal Office.

Deadline is Friday, March 1, 2019 by 12:00 PM Noon.

Thunder Bay District Health Unit – Phone Survey

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is launching a phone survey this month. One of the key goals of the Rapid Risk Factor Surveillance System is to get a better sense of the health needs of people in small northwestern Ontario communities, such as Marathon, Terrace Bay or Greenstone, as compared to those in Thunder Bay.   Here is a link to the full article

Public Information Session – 2019 Budget Discussions

The Township of Terrace Bay is inviting all members of the community to join in our casual, open house discussions on the following dates:

Thursday, January 17 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Friday, January 18 - 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Terrace Bay Community Centre - Activity Room

Council is seeking volunteers for positions on all Committees and Boards during their new four year term commencing January, 2019.  If you have a specific interest and would like to share new input, ideas and suggestions, we hope you will consider one of the following positions at Committee of Council Vacancies 2019

Reminder - christmas wrapping paper is not recyclable and should be put into your regular garbage.

Landfill Site Hours - December 24 & 31 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Landfill Site will be Closed on December 25, 26 and January 1

All Tipping Fees will be waived on December 28, 29 & 31, 2018 during normal hours of operation for household garbage only

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted

We have met the Ontario Drinking Water Protection Regulation and therefore, the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for the residents of Terrace Heights (87,85,83,81,79,77,69,52) and all of Southridge Crescent has been lifted effective Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2:30pm.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Stan Spadoni, Treasurer/Deputy Clerk at 825-3315 ext.227 or cell 229-7186.

Winter Parking – November 15 to April 15

TO ALL TERRACE BAY RESIDENTS.  This is a friendly reminder that in accordance with By-Law No. 95-18, The Uniform Traffic By-law, Section 22, Winter Overnight Parking, Subsection 22.1, no person shall park or stand a vehicle on a street or highway effective from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., between November 15th and April 15th of each calendar year.

Please note that this By-law will be enforced.  Thank you on behalf of the Township of Terrace Bay.
