Notice to Residents – Pumphouse Beach & Danny’s Cove CLOSED for filming

The Filming Crew "Angelique's Isles" will be in Terrace Bay filming at the Pumphouse Beach and Danny's Cove from June 6 to 15. Due to filming, Pumphouse Beach will be CLOSED on June 6 to 15 and Danny's Cove will be CLOSED on June 14.

Last chance to get out the “Best of the Lake” vote

Terrace Bay now is the time to submit votes for our community in the BEST OF THE LAKE awards.  Is our community the Best Family Destination in the region?  Do we have the Best Scenic Drive or Best Visitor Info Centre?  We’ve reached the final days to vote for those and other Best of the Lake awards. Public Consultation Session for Reconstruction of Kenogami Road

We would cordially like to extend the invitation to our residents to attend the Public Consultation Session for proposed Reconstruction of Kenogami Road Project on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.  This info session will be located at the Terrace Bay Community Centre in the Activity Room.  Project managers and Engineers will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.  Download Information Letter to Residents

Prohibit the Feeding of Wildlife Bird Feeders

This is a Friendly Reminder  that in accordance with Bylaw No. 16-2012, a Bylaw to Prohibit the Feeding of Wildlife within the Corporate limits of The Township of Terrace Bay, Article 3, 3.01 (c) regarding Bird Feeders, using bird feed only between the period of November 1st to April 30.  We ask that you please abide by this bylaw due to the attractant to bears during the remaining month.  Please note that this Bylaw will be enforced.

Black Bear Encounter & Awareness Training Course

The Township of Terrace Bay is now offering residents the Black Bear Encounter & Awareness Training Course this month.  Learn how to avoid encounters with bears!  Be better prepared!  If you live, work or play in black bear habitat, knowing how to react to an encounter with a bear is a must.  By participating in a bear safety and awareness session, you will learn how to avoid encounters with black bears and be better prepared to deal with different types of encounters.  Course Instructor - Bear In Mind.  Course Information

Residential Spring Clean-Up Week – May 13 to 20

Use of the landfill site will be free of charge from May 13 to May 20, 2017 inclusive for residents of the Township of Terrace Bay.  Public Works will do townsite pick-up from residential properties as per the schedule listed in Notice on Monday, May 15 to Thursday, May 18, 2017 inclusive with no exceptions.   Spring Clean Up Notice to Residents 2017
