ELECTION WORKERS NEEDED

  • Persons interested in working in the 2018 Municipal Elections for The Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay are invited to pick up an application form at the Municipal Office, 1 Selkirk Avenue, or download the application form:  Election Worker Application Form
  • Applications will be accepted until noon on Friday, September 7, 2018 or until all positions are filled.

Information for Voters

VOTER’S LIST – Notice of the Voters’ List

The voter’s list is now available at the Municipal Office.  Elector’s can check to see if they are on the list, if their information is correct or make corrections to the list by visiting the office during normal hours: from 10:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday.

APPOINTING A PROXY – Appointment for Voting Proxy – Form 3

If a person is unable to vote for any reason during the Advance vote (October 13) or on Voting Day (October 22), then they may appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf.  Any person whose name is on the Voters’ List or who has been added by revision may vote by proxy.

  • Under Section 44 of the Municipal Elections Act, an elector may act on behalf of one (1) other qualified elector who is not a relative OR
  • on behalf of one (1) or more qualified electors who ARE relative.
    • A “relative” means the parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother, sister or spouse of the elector appointed.

Persons requiring a proxy should inquire to the Municipal Clerk’s Office at 1 Selkirk Ave. during normal hours: from 10:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday or during the Advanced Polls on October 13, 2018 between 12:00pm and 5:00pm.
