OUTDOOR WINTER SPORTS
Downhill Skiing
The Trestle Ridge Ski Hill offers 5 ski runs ranging from beginner to intermediate-advanced, along with a half pipe for snowboarding. They offer a fully equipped rental shop including snowboards, with snowboard and ski lessons available. Canadian ski patrol is on dute and light snacks are available at the ski chalet. Call the hill at (807)823-0245 for further information (seasonal phone).
Hours of Operation:
Fridays & Saturdays: 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Saturdays & Sundays: Noon to 5:00pm
Cross Country Skiing
The Superior Cross Country Ski Club is a not for profit organization run by local volunteers They provide 6 km. of classical trails at Rainbow Falls Provincial Park. Canine friends are welcome!
Membership Fees: $50.00/Family and $35.00/Single

Snowmobiling
The Lake Superior Family Snow Goers maintain trails from Gravel River (60km west of Schreiber) to Dead Horse Road (50km east of Terrace Bay). You must purchase a trail permit to use the groomed trails. Each permit bought in our area supports our local club and these trail permits are good for all OFSC trails.
Trail Permit Fees:
$180.00 if purchased before December 1st
$230.00 if purchased after December 1st
