COVID-19 Pandemic

The Township of Terrace Bay remains diligent in monitoring the rapidly changing situation related to COVID-19. Mayor and Staff continue to maintain communications with local Health Care Professionals and continue to evaluate all Public, Provincial and Federal Health Authority reports and up-to-date information. The health and well-being of our residents is of great importance and the Municipality strives to make decisions that are measured, precautionary and in the community’s best interests.
Earlier today in accordance with Premier Ford’s declaration of a state of emergency, the Township of Terrace Bay has announced the following Municipal Recreation Facilities & Programs will be closed effective immediately: READ MORE

- Saunas
- Courts
- Bowling Alley
- Curling Club
- Library
- Seniors Centre
As a proactive measure to protect our staff and residents, the Municipal Office and landfill will be closed effective March 17th, 2020 at 5:00pm until further notice.
All essential municipal services will be maintained as well as continuity of governance and business operations.
“In unprecedented times like today, it is critical that citizens take our Health Care Professional’s recommendations seriously. For those who have recently returned from out of country, please respect the required mandate to self-quarantine for 14 days. There are services available to assist you during your transition back home.
I would like to remind the public that this is a time for calm and thoughtfulness. It is important for us to remain properly informed with up-to-date reliable sources and to exercise best hygiene practices and coughing and sneezing etiquette. As a community, we must band together for the protection of our health and well-being. Please be considerate and kind to your neighbours.” – Mayor Jody Davis
